December has arrived and the holiday season is fully upon us!! Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or something else, it’s a fun time of year. We at Bright Minds Training hope it’s a great one for you and yours!

In other news, we have a new course on the website!! It is All About Sensory. There is a section on each of the eight senses. Proprioception, vestibular and interoception are explained in a very simple way.
Touch, taste, sight, hearing and smell are gone into in much more depth with a lot of great ideas to take back to the classroom and teach the senses to all ages.
Next is a section from our friends at “Your Therapy Source”. They explain what sensory processing disorder is and how to watch for red flags with the children in your class.
Finally, there is a very important section from mothers of children with sensory processing issues. They are speaking directly to you, the early childhood professional. You can hear directly from them, what they want you to know about their children. This is a very important point of view to hear and understand.
Another exciting piece of news is that we are putting audio on our courses! The audio is optional so you can still take courses at work or in your favorite coffee shop. Feel free to turn off the audio and read the slides. But if you are more of an auditory learner, it’s there for you to use! It will take a month or two for us to get it done on all of the courses but it is already on the newest course and we will be adding it to the others as time allows.
