If you are employed in a state that uses a registry to track professional development hours, you will be able to provide your registry ID (Stars, MOPID, Registry or other ECE ID#) after you have completed the quiz for the course. If you pass the quiz we will report your course completion to the state registry using the registry ID that you provide.

Strong teamwork is the foundation of a thriving early childhood program. When teachers, assistants, and administrators work together with respect, trust, and shared goals, children benefit from a consistent and positive learning environment. Course Length – 2.5 hours.

This course will help answer the following questions.

  • How can I encourage better communication among staff?
  • What are some ways to prevent conflict?
  • How can I foster a workplace culture of support and professionalism?
  • What are some ways to address gossip and negativity?
  • What are some activities that unite staff around a shared mission
  • Recognize the importance of teamwork in creating a positive, effective early childhood program.

 

Participants who successfully complete this course will be able to:

  • Apply strategies to prevent and address gossip and other negative behaviors that undermine team culture.
  • Plan and conduct staff meetings that are purposeful, motivating, and enjoyable for staff.
  • Implement team-building activities and practices that strengthen trust, communication, and collaboration among staff.
  • Foster a supportive workplace culture where all staff feel valued, respected, and invested in the program’s success.
